Bret
Hart also pursues an active role in TV serials. The most popular of
which is the Lonesome Dove TV series, in which he played the part
of the bounty hunter Luther Root, from Miles City. Other appearances
include Sindbad, MAD TV and Simpsons', in which he was an animated
character. The Hit Man has two music videos, the most recent one being
in 1996 ("You Start A Fire"). Bret Hart has also appeared on many
chat shows such as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Regis & Kathy Lee,
Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous and Larry King Live, to name a few.
He is also a gifted cartoonist and the Calgary Sun occasionally features
his caricatures. He also has a newspaper column, every Saturday on
the Calgary Sun, in which he writes about his inner most feelings.
Bret is immensely popular all over the world. He was mobbed by wrestling
fans in India and South Africa. Germany's Time Magazine has declared
that the Hit Man was the most popular sports-figure in Germany, three
years in a row! But his popularity is at an all time high in his hometown
in Calgary, AB. He has been voted as the most famous Albertan on earth
today.
